We’re hiring for a CNC Miller to join a leading engineering firm at their site based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines, utilising controls such as Haas, Fanuc and Siemens.

* £18.00 per hour

* Two shifts available: 1:45pm – 12:00am Monday – Thursday OR 6:00am – 2pm Monday - Friday

* Overtime available at enhanced rates

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?

* Setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines

* Utilising various controls, including Haas Fanuc and Siemens based systems, to perform milling operations

* Manufacturing high-precision components for diverse industries

* Ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications

* Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting machine issues

* Performing inspections and quality checks on finished components

What do you need?

* Proven experience in setting and operating FANUC

* Hands on experience with CNC milling operations and programmes

* Familiarity with CNC vertical milling machines

* Experience with manufacturing steel components

* Exposure to working with a range of materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steels

* City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering beneficial
