Senior Economic Development Officer (Section 106) – Up to £55K | Hybrid (Hammersmith)

A progressive local authority in Hammersmith & Fulham is looking for a Senior Economic Development Officer to play a key role in delivering social and economic benefits from major developments. This role will focus on maximising Section 106 agreements, ensuring planning obligations create real value for the community while supporting the borough’s ambitious Industrial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage processes to monitor, report, and maximise the impact of Section 106 agreements.
Work closely with Planning, Legal, and Economic Development teams to ensure developments align with the council’s economic goals.
Support developers in delivering their social value commitments and troubleshoot challenges.
Analyse data and provide clear insights to inform decision-making.
Stay up to date with planning legislation and best practices in economic development.
Who We’re Looking For:

Experience in economic development, ideally within a local authority setting.
Strong knowledge of planning policy and Section 106 agreements.
Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
Ability to work across teams and influence key decision-makers.
