Procurement Administrator

Fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Administrator / Assistant Buyer to join a large procurement team within a forward-thinking organisation based in Rochester.
This role would suit an experienced administrator with a passion for procurement, somebody who is a self-starter and can think on their feet. In this role you will be working alongside a team of buyers, supporting other members of the Procurement team. Dealing with requisitions and demands, purchase orders, suppliers, as well as any other administrative tasks in accordance with the business’s needs.
Duties for this role include:
Raising and managing purchase orders in line with procurement processes
Dealing with suppliers and communicating updates effectively
Maintaining supplier relationships
Effective maintenance of supplier books, ensuring all data is input correctly
Supporting other members of the procurement team as required
Processing supplier returns in a timely manner
The successful candidate will have/be:
An experienced administrator, who can work independently and cohesively in an office environment
Detail orientated with strong customer service skills
Proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft Excel and Outlook
An effective communicator, able to manage stakeholder relationships
Experience in procurement or similar commercial environment is desirable
On offer for the successful procurement administrator is a salary of up to £28,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits including the opportunity of hybrid working.
