Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs (SEN).
Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Support and monitor the progress of SEN pupils, ensuring they are fully integrated into the school community.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' learning and well-being.
Contribute to the wider school community, promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment for all.

Key Requirements of a SEN Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in working with children with SEN.
A deep understanding of a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, creativity, and resilience, with a passion for helping every child succeed.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in SEN education.
