As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of various automated systems within a logistics hub. Your role will ensure that all material handling equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards. You will perform both routine maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair both electrical and mechanical components of automated systems.

Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and improvement initiatives.
*
Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log maintenance activities and track equipment performance.
*
Perform electrical inspections in accordance with industry standards.
*
Coordinate with operations teams for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
*
Work closely with control teams to optimize system usage and performance.
Skills and Experience:

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Excellent analytical skills with a focus on preventative and corrective maintenance.

Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Familiarity with automated material handling systems and related technology.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Experience with preventative maintenance schedules and safe work practices, including working at heights.

Proficiency with common hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Basic IT skills and knowledge of health and safety procedures and CMMS.
Qualifications:

Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field.

Valid driving license.
Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance within an automated or regulated environment.
Shift Pattern:
*
4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off, with 24/7 operational support required
