Job Title: Sports and Leisure Officer
Location: Waltham Forest
Salary: £17.81/ hour
Contract Type: Full time, rota based shifts from Monday to Sunday, between 8am to 12am

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sports and Leisure Officer to join their dynamic team. Potential candidate will play a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles and increasing participation in sports, fitness, and recreational activities within the community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by delivering and developing engaging programs that cater to diverse needs and age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the management and daily operations of sports facilities

* Promote inclusivity and encourage participation from all backgrounds

* Monitor program performance and report on key outcomes

* Assist in health and safety compliance and equipment maintenance

* Contribute to marketing and outreach strategies to drive engagement

* Ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained and prepared to the highest possible standards.

* Providing visible leadership to facility users, assisting with set up and set down of activities while maintaining a high level of customer service.

* Overseeing the management & efficient operation of the leisure facility.

* Assisting the Sport and Leisure Manager in implementing any Management Systems, maintaining all operational standards, records, and financial procedures in accordance with instructions and regulations.

* To administer First Aid as required

* To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility

Essential Skills and Experience:

* A background in sports, leisure, or community development

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong organizational and time-management abilities

* A proactive and energetic approach to problem-solving

* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where necessary

* First Aid certification and a valid driver’s license are desirable

Qualifications:

* A degree or diploma in Sports Management, Leisure Studies, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred
