Salary: £20 - £23 per hour (dependant on experience)
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced IT Buyer to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of IT procurement processes across the company’s major construction projects. You will be contributing to key business services including HR, Finance, IT, and others, supporting the network's effective operation.
Team/Department Activities:
This role involves supporting IT procurement for all divisions, ensuring that each project has the technology and resources required to meet the high standards expected by clients and stakeholders.
Role Purpose and Responsibilities:
* Assist the Procurement Manager and IT supply chain team.
* Handle day-to-day IT procurement transactions, ensuring timely delivery of IT services and products.
* Take on responsibilities for managing and maintaining IT procurement frameworks.
Formal Qualifications:
* Ideally MCIPS or working towards it.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
* Experience with COINs and SAP is preferred.
Skills Required:
* Proficiency in COINs, SAP, and Excel.
* Extensive experience in IT procurement, ideally within a Tier 1 construction company.
* Strong understanding of the construction, civil engineering, and building industry.
Personal Qualities:
* MCIPS qualification is preferred.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
