We have an exciting opportunity for a Area Sales Manager covering the South West for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale. They are looking for someone to cover South West England including Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager
* Ensure products are included in key customer promotional campaigns.
* Train and develop programs for customers to ensure they understand the full benefits of their products.
* Involved in the development of new accounts to grow the number of stockists.
* Journey/call plan and maintain daily activity reports.
* Management of nominated accounts.
* Attend trade and consumer shows.
* Distribute brochures and point of sales.
* Merchandise machines.
* Competitor research and analysis.
Requirements for a successful Area Sales Manager
* Previous Sales Management experience in a similar industry.
* Target driven with a passion for sales.
* Outstanding communication skills with ability to build a rapport with people of all levels.
* Computer literate.
* Commercially astute.
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Summary of the Area Sales Manager Role
Salary: £47,000 - £52,500 plus bonus and car
Job Location: Field based covering South West England
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
