Software Development: Junior Technical Project Manager
Blueberry Consultants Ltd is a highly technical software development company based in Birmingham, UK. We are looking for candidates to join our management team in Birmingham in the role of Junior Technical Project Manager.
We build bespoke software systems for a wide range of customers. Mostly we are developing web-based software applications but we are also involved in mobile app development and software product development.
We are looking for candidates who can show a personal and general interest in computer software and IT. Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of being able to work independently and on their own initiative, with a high standard of written communication and methodological problem-solving skills.
Position Requirements
* A background in software development, systems administration or equivalent role.
* Candidate must demonstrate an aptitude with science and mathematics. It would be advantageous to have a degree this subject area but not essential.
* Candidate must be able to rapidly acquire, analyse and act on new information. Possessing good attention to detail is essential.
* Candidate must have excellent written and spoken English.
* Candidate must have good communications skills and will be expected to liaise with other team members and Blueberry customers.
The Assistant Project Manager is expected to:
* Work within a team to deliver projects on time, within budget and within scope.
* Attend customer meetings (via Microsoft Teams, Zoom or equivalent).
* Work with customers and other stakeholders to capture, analyse and document requirements.
* Work with other team members to deliver the features, change requests and bug fixes required by the customer. This includes testing and QA.
* Work with other team members to provision any IT infrastructure required to service a project.
* Become proficient at using Blueberry’s Project Tracking System, which is used to manage projects.
* Acquiring new information using available tools such as search engines and AI chat bots.
* Learn new skills in order to carry out your role efficiently and effectively.

Working Hours
This is a full-time position. Work patterns are based around standard working weeks: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm UK. This is necessary to service UK based customers and projects.
