About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis, supporting the academic progress of students in Key Stage 2. The role primarily focuses on delivering booster sessions and interventions, working closely with pupils who require additional support to meet their learning goals. As part of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, you will be involved in tailoring activities to meet individual needs, making a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning requirements. You will work alongside the class teacher and SEN coordinator to deliver high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a primary school, ideally with Key Stage 2 pupils.
• A passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including a desire to help them thrive academically and socially.
• Knowledge or experience in delivering booster and intervention sessions is highly desirable.
• Patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills are essential for working with both children and staff.
• A proactive, flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to Key Stage 2 pupils, with a focus on booster and intervention sessions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEN.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess and monitor pupils’ progress.
• Support the classroom environment by preparing materials, organising activities, and helping to maintain a positive learning space.
• Foster a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere, helping pupils to build their confidence and achieve their academic potential.
