Platinum Recruitment is delighted to be working with a prestigious care home, to recruit a talented Sous Chef for their stunning care home in Basingstoke.
As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and cooking a variety of delicious and nutritious meals tailored to residents' preferences and dietary requirements.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Supervising and mentoring the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Managing stock control and ordering supplies to minimise waste and optimise costs.To be successful in this role, you will need:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a care home or similar setting.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious food.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible approach to work and the ability to work well under pressure.
A food hygiene certificate (Level 2)
Be able to commute to Basingstoke daily for work
