As the business continues to invest significantly in their manufacturing capability and people, they are looking to appoint a high calibre Head of Operations to help drive the business forward and lead this organisation with a rich manufacturing history.
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader with experience in manufacturing experience in a senior role.
The role:
We are looking for an experienced manufacturing leader responsible for the leadership of approximately 120 staff based in Forfar and West Midlands.
The Operations Manager will lead all production, scheduling, purchasing and logistics, setting and establishing KPI’s to ensure targets are being met and achieved.
Working with the Managing Director to deliver an operational strategy to enable the business to meet growth and commercial objectives.
They will drive the business forward maximising every opportunity to continually improve the working practices, develop the people through effective training and the implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
Experience
The candidate will be an experienced Production/Operations Leader, ideally with experience of operating in a medium sized manufacturing business. The manufacturing process includes welding and manufacturing and although some experience of this would be advantageous, we are open to speak with leaders from other complex manufacturing environments
