HEAD OF CONTRACTS & COMMERCIAL

* You will be working with a Council in London that needs someone to lead the Contracts and Commercial function to support the delivery of the organisation's investment, repairs and compliance programmes investing in existing homes to a value of circa £50m – £60m per annum.

* You will be working for a London Council for a rate of £600 – £650 per day (Inside IR35) - This is a minimum 6 month contract that will be extended if everyone is happy.

* They are looking for someone to start in late September or in October.

HEAD OF CONTRACTS & COMMERCIAL ROLE:

* Managing a team of 4 - x 2 Commercial & Procurement Managers, an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Data Analyst.

* You'll be working strategically to create a procurement strategy and commercial management framework

* Leading both internal and external teams on developing Capital Works, Compliance Works and services contracts - from feasibility study to commencement of construction.

* Including scoping and appraising potential schemes, development of feasibility studies/business cases through to procurement of delivery partners and private sector development partners, liaison with internal and external stakeholders and reporting to Project and Programme Boards, Members and senior management.

* Attending relevant boards on progress and performance of all service area contracts

Budget Management

* Managing an annual budget of approx. £50M (Capital Investment budget to Housing stock)

* Revenue budget for Housing stock of 12M

* Grant funding on specific schemes (e.g. energy grants)

* Staff budget

HEAD OF CONTRACTS & COMMERCIAL ESSENTIALS:

* Extensive contract and procurement experience

* Clear understanding of performance management and data analysis

* Leadership experience

* Experience of managing change in a complex organisation. Recognise and actively contribute to the stewardship of the culture of the organisation
