My client is a family-owned provider of cleaning and other FM services. Formed over forty years ago, they have grown to a turnover of £4m and are financially secure with no debt. They operate in the North West mainly (Liverpool, Greater Manchester, The Wirral, North Wales and Lancashire) with some outlying contracts. Their portfolio of cleaning contracts includes clients in the educational, commercial offices, medical centres etc. They are extremely fortunate to have a have a long standing experienced and knowledgeable operational management team, offering excellent service to their clients many of whom are long standing.
I am currently working in collaboration with them to appoint a successful, industry experienced Business Development Manager who resides within their operating area. The purpose of the role is to sell the company’s range of cleaning services across their operating area. They currently have a very strong presence in the educational sector; however, they are looking to broaden their portfolio with clients in other businesses. They pride themselves on paying their cleaning operatives a good rate and therefore they are only seeking business with acceptable profit levels rather than wins just to boost turnover.
Candidate requirements
* Candidates must live within their operating area.
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanour.
* Hold a clean UK driving license
* Have a full working knowledge of tenders and outbound sales process.
* For this role you should a stable career history, with at least two years’ experience of selling commercial cleaning contracts, with a proven track record of winning new business.
* Possess the drive and ability to undertake the full sales process from lead generation, through site survey, financial metrics, proposal creation, to obtaining the contract signature.
* Candidates should have an engaging personality, strong communication and presentation skills and a professional demeanour.
Tools of the trade provided include company car, laptop and mobile.
Basic Salary £40k, OTE £90k-£100k, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and NEST pension.
