The opportunity

We are looking for a CBE Lecturer to join our team of industry experts and specialists to pass on your knowledge to the next generation of industry professionals. You will work as part of our established delivery team to cover all aspects of the new Higher National level and technical qualifications.

Our new Lecturer will educate the professionals of the future to ensure competency in a range of activities using industry standard methods and technology to complete projects relevant to traditional and modern-day situations. This includes delivering practical skills-based training to our young people looking to move into industry trade apprentice routes, or adults looking to upskill or change career. You will also support classroom delivery of subject knowledge relating to your trade specialism.

The theoretical delivery covers a wide range of subject specific areas including BIM Surveying, Construction technology and design including using CAD Revit software.

About you

Do you have the ability to explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand and be engaging with students?

Are you creative where you will develop a variety of teaching methods to keep lessons engaging?

The new CBE Lecturer should have previous experience in Construction and the Built Environment, for competency to teach across construction pathways from Level 3 / Level 4, including our Grade 1 T level provision.

Working as part of a team is imperative where you will be collaborating and developing relationships with other staff key stakeholders to enhance the learning environment and journey for the students. Inspiring students to engage with the subject matter is key where taking responsibility for their learning with a genuine interest in student progress ensures success.
