We are seeking a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to overcome barriers and thrive in their learning environment.
About the Role
As a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviours.
Implement tailored behaviour management strategies in line with individual education and behaviour plans.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour support.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through de-escalation techniques and active listening.
Encourage students to engage in their education and build their confidence and self-esteem.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges or special educational needs.
Are patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
Hold relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, child development, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
