Description

Planning transport routes and schedules to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
Coordinating with drivers and monitoring their progress to ensure timely deliveries.
Implementing strategies to minimise transport costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensuring compliance with transport policies, procedures and legal regulations.
Identifying and resolving any transport-related issues or delays.
Preparing and presenting transport performance reports.
Maintaining a strong working relationship with drivers and other staff.
Assisting in the continuous improvement of transport systems and practices.Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

Experience in transport planning and logistics within the transport and distribution industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work various shift patterns (mornings, evenings, nights, weekends)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel

Job Offer

An estimated salary range of £29,000 to £31,000, depending on experience.
