We are recruiting for a Principal Systems Engineers to join a major nuclear project on a 12-month contract inside IR35. The client is ideally looking for the engineers to start asap and as such they require the team to hold live SC or DV Clearances.

The client is offering hybrid working from their office in Bristol. There may be intermittent visits to other client sites although these won’t be regular and will be expensed by the client.

The work is focused on a Standardisation Initiative (SI) which was launched in response to mitigate a significant identified risk; to offer a reduction of design activities within work packages with the potential for schedule assurance and cost avoidance throughout the product lifecycle. As a result, they are looking for assertive and capable Systems Engineers who can interface with various internal and external stakeholders to progress this initiative.

The client is looking for someone to coordinate technology working groups, to listen to the outputs from the design teams and be the voice of standardisation at those meetings. There is likely to also be some implementation standardisation opportunities for their assigned technology areas. General attributes a successful candidate will have:
