With the introduction of a new engineering manager the maintenance team are expanding expanding at this pharmaceutical business and we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias.

The role encompasses predominantly working at the Alfreton plant which is the older facility, but also one week per month covering the new site in which opened in 2018. This gives you a variety of capital equipment you’re working on, a good mix of old and new.

On the one hand you will be challenged with older machinery to make upgrades, sourcing parts and a polar opposite site with brand new automated machinery.  There is significant investment and refurbishment planned for your main site, so some great projects to get involved in.

You will need to be a confident engineer as there will be some lone working while on shift so you will need to be able to fault find electrically.  Full training will be given within your first weeks on site so you are able to confidently work with the machinery both electrically and mechanically.
  
The role as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer: 

Performing Planning Preventative Maintenance tasks 
Adhering to all Health and Safety Guidelines 
Working to deadlines 
Able to assist with installation works. 
Working well within a small engineering team 
Confident to work alone on breakdowns. Qualifications and experience needed for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Apprentice trained/ Level 3 Qualified or a time served engineer.
Experience working within a manufacturing setting.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Mechanically biased with good electrical fault finding skills.
PLC Experience, would be advantageous but not essential. Package for you as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Salary of £47,860 (combination of basic salary, call out allowance & shift pay)
Monday - Friday 4 shift rotation 6am - 2pm, 8am - 4pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Call out covering every 1:4 weekends 
Overtime rate at 1.5x
Company production bonus £1500 for the last couple of years(not guaranteed)
22 days holiday + Bank holidays, with the option to gain an additional 5 days with length of service.
