Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join a tier 1 contractor for a high-profile £259m contract to build a cutting-edge Defence Facility. This project requires a skilled individual with experience in Asta Powerproject, NEC or JCT contracts, and the ability to work on-site five days a week. The successful candidate must also be eligible for Security Clearance (SC).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Asta Powerproject software.
Plan and coordinate construction activities, ensuring alignment with the project timeline and objectives.
Work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ensure compliance with NEC or JCT contract terms throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and delays.
Attend site meetings and collaborate with construction teams on-site, five days a week.
Contribute to the preparation of progress reports, project forecasts, and time management plans.
Manage project documentation and ensure accuracy and consistency in scheduling information.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Experience as a Construction Planner with extensive use of Asta Powerproject.
In-depth understanding and experience with NEC or JCT contracts.
Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects (ideally in the defence sector).
SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
Ability to attend the site five days a week.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience working on defence-related projects.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
