JOB OUTLINE
The Deputy Manager supports the Registered Manager in all duties and acts as their deputy in their absence.
Salary: Hourly rate : £18.14
Sleep-expectation 1-2/week
Flexability to work any day of the week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in managing the home to ensure a supportive environment where children and young people can reach their full potential.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and ensure the home operates in compliance with these standards.
Oversee staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and training, ensuring high standards of care.
Support the Registered Manager in managing budgets, resources, and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment.
Represent the home to external agencies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Collaborate with the management team on service planning and development.
Ensure effective communication with children, young people, and stakeholders, promoting their involvement in care decisions.
Adhere to safeguarding protocols, ensuring the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Children & Young People’s Services, or equivalent, or willingness to train.
Minimum two years’ relevant experience in residential care and one year in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of relevant regulations, child protection procedures, and the ability to manage challenging behaviors.
