Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to be engaged on a permanent basis. Candidates will ideally be based in the Cumbria and hybrid working will be supported.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all quantity surveying activities.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
Conduct cost analysis and risk management.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure accurate cost control.
Prepare and review tender documentation and contracts.
Monitor and report on project financial performance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Provide support and guidance to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
Collaborate with the project management team to align financial objectives with project goals.
Qualifications/requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Excellent communication
Contract Management (NEC essential)
Reporting
Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project life cycle
Ideally Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent
