A well-established enterprise offering a comprehensive range of engineering services, in collaboration with businesses to enhance facilities management, serving clients across various industries including food & beverage, brewing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical, are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.
Info about what the role entails
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and designs for process industry projects with a primary focus on utilising Autodesk Inventor to produce models as well as manufacturing drawings. For example, typical models would include factory layouts, pressure vessels & pipework systems. You would be involved with a variety of different projects with some running simultaneously, the role will include travel to customer sites across the midlands.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with project teams, including Process Engineers, Electrical Engineers & Systems Engineers
* To work with P&IDS and working with them to develop piping systems and layouts.
* Integrate designs and ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
* Develop detailed 3D models and designs using Inventor and Plant 3D software, with a specific emphasis on piping systems and related components
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer
* Experience working as a 3D design engineer, with a focus on the process industry.
* Good working knowledge of P&ID’s and PFD’s
* Understanding of Process Industry standards, codes and regulations
* Experienced with Autodesk Inventor & Vault
