Vehicle/Workshop Mechanic required to work with Stockon on Tee's based local council.

About the Job:

My client requires an experienced and professional vehicle maintenance mechanic to carry out vehicle repairs, maintenance and servicing on their fleet of vwehicles. Vehicles include, HGV, LGV, Cars, Sweepers, Gritters, Waste Vehicles and others as required.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team to deliver an extensive programme of vehicle maintenance, repair, inspection and examination. They will work to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, DVSA requirements and internal Council policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and to strict deadlines; at all times ensuring that a high quality standard of work is delivered. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority who are continually look to expand their commercial fleet business.

Competitive pay rate depending on experience.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

* City & Guilds level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair principles, or equivalent

* MOT Tester

* Experience of working with all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair including HGV and LGV

* Ability to work on own initiative and to meet strict deadlines
