Stores Operative required for a specialist manufacturing business based in Hook. We are looking for candidates to assist the Warehouse department with the day to day activities, very attentive to details and capable of lifting light loads.

You will assist all the operations in their very busy warehouse, including picking, packing, counting stock, labelling, shipment of goods and occasionally you will drive the company van to collect and delivery products/ parts from suppliers locally.

The ideal candidate will have good experience in manufacturing/ engineering environment working in warehouse/ stores previously.

Responsibilities:

Checking goods in and goods out according to the delivery notes ensuring that they are not damaged;
Counting stock and ensuring that all material movement is processed into the ERP system (SAGE);
Assisting the Production Team in picking/ issuing parts to them;
Supporting the department in picking, packing, labelling and shipment;
Driving the company van to deliver or collect goods from local suppliers when necessary.Experience:

Previous similar experience in Manufacturing/ Engineering environment in Stores/ Warehouse department
Capable of lifting light loads
Experience in using ERP system (eg Sage, SAP, etc) for stock control
Computer literateSoft Skills:

Attention to details
Proactive
Good communication
Hands on and capable of long periods of time
