**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct comprehensive testing of materials according to relevant standards and work instructions, interpret results, and compile detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Test coupons related to structural design calculations and coordinate with external laboratories as required.
- Investigate and evaluate new materials and manufacturing technologies to enhance product quality and performance.
- Design and set up tests aimed at optimising production processes, employing methodologies like Six Sigma to generate thorough test reports.
- Develop clear work instructions to support new production processes or the introduction of new business units.
- Provide technical guidance to departments such as Quality Assurance and Production to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Define requirements for new tooling and machinery, coordinating with Procurement and liaising with suppliers as necessary.
- Design machining processes, tools, materials, and workspace layouts to boost efficiency and productivity.

**Skills and Qualifications:**

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Over 3 years of experience in material and process test engineering or a related role, with a preference for composite experience.
- Strong knowledge of testing standards, materials, and manufacturing processes; familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and enhance processes.
