Our client, a leading multinational manufacturing company located near Beccles, is seeking a Quality Manager to join their growing team.
This brand-new role has been created in response to increased demand and significant investment in the business. The position is site-based, working Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary of £50,000–£55,000. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
* Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Conduct regular audits and reviews of the QMS to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure all quality processes and procedures are documented and followed.
Team Management:
* Lead and support small shift-based teams of Production Quality Controllers.
* Manage and mentor two day-based Quality Officers.
* Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Quality Control:
* Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
* Ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards.
* Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions.
* Lead quality improvement projects to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with other departments to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Compliance and Reporting:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
* Maintain accurate records of quality activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within an FMCG environment.
* Experience managing the transition from a QC to QA-based approach within an FMCG environment.
* Strong knowledge of QMS standards and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in carrying out audits based on BRC and customer standards.
