Driver Hire Perth are recruiting for a Class 2 Frontline Driver to work throughout the winter in Perth. This is a seasonal contract, starting mid-October until the end of April 2025.

You will work a pre-planned work pattern, where there will be a mixture of days and nights on a rota. You will also be required to participate in the standby rota, which is done on a rota, and paid in addition to the hourly rate. You will be required to be flexible in response to unexpected changed in the weather.

Class 2 Frontline Driver Requirements:

Category C entitlement on your UK driving licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
No more than 6 points on your driving licenceClass 2 Frontline Driver Duties:

Road maintenance in line with adverse weather conditions including gritting and ploughing
Carrying out vehicles checks on a daily basis and completing the defect book
Making yourself available for other duties in the yard when the weather is not adverse
Highway maintenance work including litter picking, tarring and grittingClass 2 Frontline Driver Pay:

Dayshift paid at £14.29 per hour (includes holiday pay)
Overtime paid after 40 hours at £21.43 per hour
Nightshift paid at £18.49 per hour (includes holiday pay)
Overtime paid after 40 hours at £25.72 per hourIdeally you will have held your licence for a minimum of 12 months, and have some HGV driving experience. However, if you are a newly qualified Class 2 Driver you will be considered.
