We are now looking for an energetic and driven Mission Systems Engineering Task Lead to join our rapidly expanding Systems Engineering Capability. This ambitious teams 5-year strategy is based upon :

Responsibilities
The Engineering Task Lead works with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery within a client portfolio. Reporting to the Capability and Portfolio delivery Leads, you'll be responsible for :-
Supporting the Project Manager to effectively communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Providing technical support to the Project Manager for proposal development, assessing and documenting technical risks.
Ensuring the team follows the appropriate Expleo and customer Best Practice as required by the Project Launch Pack and Quality Management System (QMS).
Providing technical leadership and governance to project teams to ensure delivery in accordance with required project KPIs including Fight First Time (RFT), On time Delivery (OTD) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
Leading project teams to identify, develop, test and deliver cost saving initiatives.
Fostering a good working relationship with the client to identify new opportunities and solve issues efficiently.
Supporting the Technical Authority in defining robust quality processes (e.g. operating processes & best practice documents).
Identifying & managing continuous process improvement and excellence.
Supporting the Unit Delivery Lead with Training Needs Analysis for team members through On the Job Training (OJT) and mentoring.
Undertaking Staff Performance and Development Reviews (PDRs).
Supporting the Unit Delivery Lead with identification and planning of training requirements.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or relevant STEM discipline
HNC/HND with equivalent engineering experience
Applications are also welcomed from individuals with significant demonstrable experience who don't hold formal qualifications
Membership of IET or equivalent Engineering Institution
CEng or working towards CEng Status

Someone for whom collaboration and working in partnership comes naturally. A confident communicator with the ability to develop and negotiate on topics such as, Proposal Generation, Work Scope Development, Work Scope Estimating, Project Scheduling and Risk management
You will also be self-motivated with an energetic attitude, being able to transform complex problems into simple, elegant solution
Capable of working across a portfolio of projects and business initiatives often at short notice. Someone who is an instinctive organiser with meticulous attention to detail, and who can motivate others to complete their actions so that the overall objectives are achieved
Someone who understands 'how' you do things is just as important as 'what' you do - who will role model and apply our Principles
A person who is resilient and adaptable, who can navigate ambiguity and complexity and help teams own and deliver day to day
Experience
You'll have a proven track record of actively leading successful project delivery on a diverse range of diverse, complex technology focussed projects within either the Aerospace or Marine sectors. Looking to make the next move in your career, your passion for keeping up with the latest technological innovation inspires multi-disciplinary teams to successfully conceive, create and implement solutions for clients.
With experience in a client facing role, you'll possess excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills. You'll also be an accomplished subject matter expert within your profession and capability field, demonstrating a broad range of experience, including some of the following skill areas:
Technical leadership
Planning and estimating
Design and Analytical analysis
Resource Management
Project and Commercial Management
Training and mentoring
