To support in the management of the Mechanical maintenance department to ensure:

Legislative compliance is fulfilled Specific Tasks:
People management and leadership
Utilize leadership tools and practices in daily maintenance operations
Responsible for personnel issues within own team and according to HR policies
Managerial responsibility over a team, including performance, compensation, absence management and disciplinary issues
Solid line supervisor for engineers and blue collars in own area
Resolve any HR related issues within own team
Responsible for new team member on-boarding at the mill (in practice)
Continuous development of team skills and efficiency through coaching, leading, motivating and providing development and training opportunities
Maintain documentation of skill matrices and roles and responsibilities in co-operation with manager
Team resourcing as well as optimization, adjustment and allocation of resources within the team
Annual reviews within own team
Daily and shutdown maintenance work management
Supervising daily work in responsibility area
Responsible for work execution of corrective and preventative work orders within responsibility area
Management of breakdown incidents and unplanned shutdown co-ordination
Making decisions regarding schedule changes of daily maintenance work
Review work orders allocated to the area and team members within own responsibility area
Agree and negotiate labour utilization across areas
Supervision of shutdowns and evaluating work execution time schedules, delays or change needs of shutdown works
Creating and updating work orders in Maximo
Communication and cooperation within production area of responsibility
Planning of maintenance activities (long term, short term, daily maintenance) in cooperation with a scheduler
Management of work back-log and work orders
Detailed work planning with support from Area Engineers
Define detailed labour requirements for all work orders including skill requirements
Define spare part requirements and identify technical specification of required spare parts e.g. pump type, etc.
Define required special tools and lifting equipment etc.
Decision and approval of external resource use within approval limits
Ensure full utilization of internal and external resources
Ensure work quality of executed work including external contractors
Follow up of external contractor performance
Work co-ordination between Mechanical and EAI teams
Creation of work instructions for repetitive maintenance actions, when required
Creation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) for maintenance work
Ensure required information will be entered in Maximo and work orders are closed in agreed time frame
Execute activities given by solid line supervisor
Request Maximo changes of any findings from CMMS admin
Participate in on-call support on rota basis
Maintenance development and reliability
Development of preventative and corrective maintenance processes and practices in responsibility area
Reliability development in responsibility area in co-operation with Area Engineer and development team
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance program development is done within own responsibility area
Allocation of required resources to development projects
Ensure implementation of outcome of maintenance development projects and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
Cost control
Define planned costs for a work order
Cost control and follow up of costs within own area
Review planned and actual costs within area
Evaluate and analyse cost of external labour, scaffolding, hire equipment, spare parts, etc.
Follow up of maintenance budget within own area
Approval of costs based on approval limits
KPI-Supporting production and maintenance activities to reach Key Performance Indicators and other targets set. Academic qualifications
Time Served Apprenticeship with relevant experience, NVQ Level 3 / HNC/HND
Professional experience
+5 years’ experience within Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance Environment
Specific training:

Modern Mechanical Maintenance Techniques,
Maintenance of Power/Energy primary and ancillary equipment (GT_ST_ERB)
Maintenance of Power and Energy conversion systems
Maintenance of Power plant assets and ancillary equipment
Maintenance Boiler and steam raising plant inclusive of water and ancillary systems.
Maintenance of Fuel and Reject treatment plant including ancillary equipment
