Role: Electrical Design Engineer / EC&I Engineer

Rate: £45-50ph
Role Outline:
Drafting electrical schematics and writing control philosophies to support how hardware design ties in with the software. This is with a focus on Hydrogen projects in ATEX environments.
Main Responsibilities:
Drafting electrical schematics and writing control philosophies to support how hardware design ties in with the software.
Understand instrumentation and hardware specifications and be able to liaise closely with the Control Systems Engineer.
Understand ATEX environments and zones to specify appropriate electrical equipment, in accordance with IEC 60079.
Essential Skills:
Electrical design and hardware specification knowledge.
EPLAN experience.
ATEX environments experience - CompEx Ex12 qualification stands out.
Self-starter - can take minimal information, find out the facts and take the project forward.
Process industry experience - Hydrogen preferred. Nuclear, gas, downstream oil & gas, or water industry experience could also transfer.
Desirable - Controls Systems programming knowledge - mainly using Siemens TIA Portal
