FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Cumbria. This is a permanent position with salary up to £75,000 plus car allowance & benefits. You will be working on projects with commercial, industrial and logistics within the area. You will require to hold a driving licence as you will regularly be visiting customer sites within the region
Responsibilities: • Management of projects and sub-contractor packages
• Providing commercial support to project teams
• Overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying for various projects.
• Providing accurate cost estimates and budget management.
• Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Preparing and presenting reports on project progress and financial status.
• Conducting risk assessments and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Involved in procurement, commercial management & client liaison /follow through
• Monthly reporting
Skills and Experience required for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
• The role is primarily site based and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
• Experience in commercial management.
• Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Strong knowledge of construction law and contract management.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
