Warehouse Operative With Counterbalance FLT - £13.23 per hour (42 hours per week)

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in Southwick, Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience operating forklift trucks and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality standards, and the smooth running of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve set targets and performance standards to meet departmental goals
Operate print and lamination machines, ensuring smooth operation
Unload and verify raw materials, matching delivery manifests with goods received
Manage stock, including locating raw materials, issuing, and handling returns
Ensure proper disposal of waste, using a bailer and wrapping onto pallets
Maintain high levels of warehouse cleanliness and organisation
Conduct daily safety checks on forklift trucks, maintaining accurate records
Assist with inventory checks and stock management
Continuously seek improvements in productivity, efficiency, and waste reductionHealth, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

Adhere to company health and safety guidelines and statutory legislation
Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards during shifts
Contribute to reducing environmental impact through waste reduction initiatives
Support quality standards by identifying areas for process improvementSkills & Experience:

Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (minimum of 1 year's experience)
Bendy Forklift license is a bonus
Proficient in stock entry using computer systems
Experience completing vehicle safety checks
Ability to verify delivery manifests and ensure accuracy
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
Good team player with effective communication skills
Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
High safety awareness and the ability to work independently or as part of a teamAdditional Information:

42 hours per week on a continental shift pattern
