Are you a General Foreman looking for a new opportunity? Based in the South West and working from our valued client’s Glastonbury depot, you’ll join a successful and growing company with works in engineering and rail related infrastructure activities with offices UK wide
Your responsibilities as a General Foreman:
* Main duties will include the allocation of staff, plant, equipment and other requirements to complete tasks within designated timeframes
* Conduct site inductions, briefings and inspections and keeping documentation of any alterations
* Management of site operatives and subcontractors
* Understand project objectives, timescales and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies at all times
* Keep meticulous site records in required timescales and update progress on a weekly basis
* Collaborate closely with Site and Project Managers as well as Site Engineers to address any alterations to site operations
* Identify further training needs
* Any other reasonable duties as necessitated by the role
Requirements as a Site Foreman:
* Prior experience of rail civil engineering and particularly earthworks
* Prior supervisor/team leader/foreman experience
* Strong safety awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
* A positive attitude
* Please note that this role will require you to regularly work away from home and includes weekend and evening work
* This position will be subject to two employment references, a Drugs & Alcohol and medical test and driver’s license check.
