GSL Education Kent are delighted to offer an opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Ashford. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about providing tailored support to students with diverse needs. Please note, candidates must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to their own transport, as some travel between locations may be required.

Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with special educational needs.
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Care Plans where necessary.
Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, fostering independence and confidence.
Travel between locations when needed to ensure continuity of care and support for students.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic support system.
Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to all stakeholders.
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
Requirements
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
A valid driver’s licence and access to your own transport are essential for this role.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to participate in personal care tasks if required.
