Fire Engineer
Location: Colchester (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Car Allowance + Career Development Opportunities

Prime Appointments is working with an industry-leading company seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their expanding team on the outskirts of Colchester. This is a senior role, reporting to the Head of Operations, where you will be responsible for delivering expert fire safety strategies for existing buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed fire safety inspections and produce comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations
Ensure all fire safety strategies comply with current legislation, national and international standards (e.g., ADB, BS 9997)
Develop and implement retrospective fire safety strategies for existing buildings
Identify fire safety risks and propose cost-effective, practical solutions
Support the implementation of new fire safety services and emerging technologies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety solutions effectively

Experience & Qualifications Required:

Degree in Fire Engineering or a related field is essential
Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
Strong background in fire engineering, fire safety consultancy, or risk assessment
Extensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance standards
Proven ability to provide technical leadership and expert guidance to clients
Experience with heritage buildings, high-rise structures, or complex facilities is advantageous
