Job Title: Functional Skills Manager
Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel
Salary: £37,500 (Inclusive of car allowance)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role duties;
Develop and implement innovative Curriculum across our client's Functional Skills provision.
Lead on quality assurance and improvement, to develop and encourage Tutor's to raise standards of their delivery.
Work closely with the Quality Manager and Head of Apprenticeships to review and update internal policies and procedures, ensuring awarding organisation requirements are met.
Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across Functional Skills through conducting face-to-face and online observations, evaluating the effectiveness of delivery, and adapt if needed.
Produce monthly reports based on timely completion of Functional Skills elements; action plan completions and any development opportunities identified through observations and sampling. Essential Criteria:
Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Maths and English.
Must hold either a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, TAQA) or Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
Ideally hold a recognised IQA qualification.
Must hold strong expertise within Functional Skills Maths and English.
Experience of Curriculum development/management, ensuring that quality systems and processes are in place to maximise learner outcomes.
Experience of team management.
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
