Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Mentor to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will work closely with students requiring additional support, particularly those with special educational needs, to enhance their academic and personal development.​

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with SEN, addressing their unique learning needs and challenges.​

Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and record students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.​

*

Promoting Inclusion: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.​

*

Mentorship: Serve as a role model and mentor, guiding students in developing social skills, resilience, and independence.​

Person Specification:

Essential:

*

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting.​

*

Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective intervention strategies.​

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.​

*

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to diverse situations.​

*

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.​

Desirable:

Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or related fields.​

Training in specific SEN interventions or therapeutic approaches.​

*

Familiarity with the local community and resources in the Bristol area.​
