Our client currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working for a well-established main contractor in the construction and fit-out sectors. This hybrid role offers flexibility while being primarily based out of our Nottinghamshire head office. As Quantity Surveyor you'll be involved in a wide range of projects with contract forms including JCT, D&B, and NEC3/4, ensuring you can grow your expertise across different contract types.
About the Role of Quantity Surveyor:
The initial project you will lead is a £5m-£10m refurbishment of a local authority building. You will have the support of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and collaborate closely with both clients and site teams to ensure successful delivery. Future projects will focus on the East Midlands, with some opportunities in the West Midlands as well.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:
Overseeing all cost management aspects of construction projects.
Preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts under JCT, D&B, and NEC3/4.
Leading tendering processes, including subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
Budget forecasting, ensuring projects remain financially viable and meet profit targets.
Conducting valuations and payment applications, managing cash flow effectively.
Managing risk assessments and advising on contract strategy to minimise risks.
Preparing and agreeing final accounts, settling claims and variations with clients and contractors.
Supporting the Assistant Quantity Surveyor in their development and daily tasks.
Collaborating with site teams to monitor progress and ensure project milestones are met.
