Our client are recruiting for an experienced bar manager, to join their establishment, an award winning Hotel in the Salcombe area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has bar management experience along with a genuine interest in wine, spirits and cocktails. You will be responsible for the operations of the hotel bar and will be planning, sourcing and designing drinks list to compliment menus, incorporating seasonality and maximising sales and profitability.
You will be ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience from start to finish, recommending wine pairing, selecting and delivering wine flights and decanting and serving drinks. You will lead, motivate and mentor your team, ensuring they are all trained to the highest standard regarding proper service techniques including, glassware, pouring techniques and levels, storage and understanding guest’s preferences.
Bar Manager responsibilities will include;
* Be a key player, serving customers and managing the operation of our cocktail bar.
* Lead and support a team of bar staff and day porters, ensuring excellent customer service.
* Work closely with departments to ensure adequate staffing for bars.
* Identifying training needs and implement methods for continuous improvement.
* Maintain and control bar stocks, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and profitability.
* Conduct regular checks on bar areas and cleanliness to maintain high standards.
