Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Sussex

Salary: £96.92 - £108.30 (Umbrella contract, PAYE option available)
 
Contract: Full time Permanent or Fixed Term contracts available

Start Date: November 2024 (will consider later start for right educator)

SEMH Teaching Assistant:

anzuk are working with a Specialist Provisions in West Sussex who are seeking staff to join their expanding teams from November 2024!

The Provision/School:

We are currently looking to recruit SEMH Teaching Assistants to support the learning of Students at a Boys Primary Pupil Referral unit.

Students at this school display varying emotional behavioural difficulties and Special Education needs including, but not limited to ADHD, ASD, SEMH and dyslexia.

The school caters to students who have been or are at risk of exclusions from other settings due to their exceptionally complex behavioural needs. The provision provide bespoke learning programmes and positive behaviour support for small groups of students that have a variety of learning difficulties tied in with exceptionally challenging behaviours.

The schools best access via public transport is predominantly the Metrobus 271 route, or by car. 

The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant - (£96.92 - £108.30 per day)

Full time, November 2024 
Option for permanent role after initial settling in phase (or fixed term contracts are available)
Working with a well trained team of staff in supporting extreme challenging behaviours - Full training will be provided
Supporting students on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis
Working with Children who would have SEMH, ASC and Sensory processing difficulties  Essential Requirements:

Experience working with challenging behaviour, either within education, healthcare, or other equivalent alternatives 
Right To Work in the UK, and currently resides in or close to West Sussex, UK
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service, or a  willingness to gain one
Desirable - Teach Teach level 2 or similar positive behaviour management training 
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community
Flexibility to work across all age ranges as we can't guarantee age groups for these positions  ** Sponsorship is not available for this role **
