Maintenance Operative – Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Manchester, M1

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am to 19.00pm – covering 35 hours per week

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum

Duration: Permanent

As a Maintenance Operative, you will ensure our customers have the best experience by delivering proactive and responsive repair and maintenance services. You will promptly address faults and maintenance requests within the accommodation, ensuring timely resolutions.

Duties:

* General building maintenance, ensuring a safe and tidy environment

* Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the student accommodation.

* Provide excellent customer service when speaking with colleagues and students

* Be responsible for the planned maintenance including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing, fire extinguisher checks water hygiene flushing / temperature monitoring, shower head descaling and health & safety checks

* Record, log and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the maintenance logbook

Skills and Experience Required:

* High attention to detail.

* Previous experience of maintenance , general handyman work

* Hard working and reliable.

* Great communicational skills.

* Having a thorough understanding of Health and Safety.
