Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Gateshead

Pay Scale: £75- £100 per day

Start: ASAP

Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and caring individual who is passionate about early childhood education as an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school community in Gateshead.

Job summary:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher in planning a rich educational experience for our youngest students. This includes support of classroom activities and helping children with their social and emotional development and maintaining an atmosphere that is warm and nurturing.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, key responsibilities are:

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
Support children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities.
Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
Provide a positive environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, essential requirements include:

Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare.
A proactive and adaptable way to deal with children.
An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
