Accounts Manager / Portfolio Manager, £45,000 to £50,000 (Full Time and Part Time considered). Hybrid working. 

Due to their continued success, this dynamic accounting practice based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne seek an ambitious ACA or ACCA Qualified for a key role within the business. 

As an Accounts Manager you will support a growing client portfolio consisting of small and medium sized companies. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will lead and develop a highly motivated group of professionals. This role offers lots of autonomy and the opportunity to liaise with and advise clients directly.

This is a varied and challenging role and the main duties will include:

Preparation and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of SME clients

Review management accounts and provide insightful commentary to clients

Lead, support and develop a talented and highly motivated team

Plan staffing and resources to deliver a high quality service to clients

Managing WIP to ensure all projects are conducted in a timely manner and within agreed budgets

Review VAT Returns

Provide expert advice to clients

Develop client relationships and identify future business opportunities 

Applications are welcome from ACA Qualified and ACCA Qualified Accountants that seek full time or part time opportunities (ideally from 28-30 hours per week). You must have previous experience of working for an accounts practice, you will possess strong technical skills and a good understanding of Xero is advantageous.
