Operations Technician
Are you ready to embrace a role that promises not just a job, but an adventure? We are seeking Operations Technicians who thrive on variety and are excited by the prospect of travelling to multiple sites, predominantly across the scenic South West of England. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to forge a career in the Waste Water industry and earn (on average with night shift allowance and overtime) £41,000 per annum!

Your Mission:
As an Operations Technician, you'll be at the heart of our operations, bringing our clients' mobile separation equipment to life. We're looking for someone who is not just technically adept but also hungry for knowledge and eager to expand their skill set. Whether you have a background in plant operations or are stepping into this field with no prior experience, we welcome your enthusiasm and commitment.

Comprehensive training awaits you, leading to a clear and exhilarating career path!

Requirements:

* A keen interest in mechanical or electrical systems.

* The ability to work autonomously, managing tasks effectively at remote sites post-training.

* Flexibility to adapt to evolving customer needs and project demands.

* Strong customer service ethos, with stellar communication skills to build trust and rapport.

* Willingness for occasional travel and stay away from home for up to 10 days, depending on shift patterns.

* A passion for forging a career in the Water Utilities sector, coupled with a zest for continuous learning and growth.

* Readiness to embrace varied shift schedules, including staggered starts and night shifts.

* A valid manual vehicle driving licence, ideally clean.

Key Responsibilities:

* Expertly install, operate, and maintain a range of Mobile Separation Equipment.

* Fine-tune machine settings for optimal processing outcomes.

* Support Service Engineers during site visits or at our workshop.

* Post-training, engage with the sales team for customer visits and surveys.

* Lead and train subcontracted labour and new team members.

* Diligently follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all installation and operational tasks.

Benefits:

* A competitive salary of £24,000 - £29,600 per annum (the higher end of the salary is reserved for those with experience with centrifuges in the Waste Water sector).

* This is a full-time, permanent contract, promising stability and a rewarding career trajectory.

* A company vehicle and fuel card for all your travel needs.

* Essential tools and IT equipment for peak performance.

* Eligibility for the pension plan after a qualifying period.

* Generous 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

* Corporate attire and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

* Attractive staying away and subsistence allowances.

* A 50% pay enhancement for shifts extending past midnight.

* Overtime pay for travel exceeding the first hour outside contracted hours.

* A bonus scheme upon meeting set criteria.

* An extensive training program, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities for professional growth.

* Access to our Employee Assistance Program for comprehensive support.

Working Hours:

* The shift pattern consists of 10 consecutive days on, followed by 4 days off. For night shifts, there will be 4 days off before transitioning into 9 consecutive nights, followed by 5 days off before starting the day pattern again. Night shifts occur once every 3 to 4 weeks.
