Technical Account Manager

Location: Gateshead

Salary: up to £45,000 per annum

Full time on site with travel as required

Permanent staff position

We are looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager with expertise in supporting customers across a range of industries which include defence and security. You will have managed technical customer accounts, supporting their new and aftermarket requirements. This will involve being accountable for the full bid process from initial market engagement to fulfilment of order, including upselling product and services.

General overview:

* Pricing products and work

* Cost estimating and accounting

* Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships

* Technical primary point of contact

* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and projects

* Identify opportunities to up and cross sell

* Monitor account project process

What you will bring to the team:

* Strong background as a Technical Account Manager

* Experience delivering cost estimates and managing scope of work

* Knowledge of requirements to price appropriately

* Strong technical knowledge (engineering degree not required, a technical mindset is).

* Knowledge of UK export control regulations

* Understanding around technical obsolescence and engineering systems

* Enthusiastic and customer focussed attitude

* UK driving licence

* Able to access the Gateshead facility daily and travel across the UK as required.
