Remedicare are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for our clients medium sized residential care home in Burnham!

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join my clients team and help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences, with a focus on excellence. A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills is essential, as you'll be actively involved in all aspects of kitchen operations, maintaining high standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and a hands-on approach are key to success in this role.

Sous Chef Job Details:

* You must be eligible to work in the UK

* 40 hours contracted per week (including rotational weekend)

* £18ph

* 7:30am - 5:30pm shift times

Sous Chef - Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of a Head Chef on duty, you will be a part of a dedicated team. Preparing and cooking high quality meals, and assisting the Head Chef and Home Manager in menu planning. The Sous Chef must ensure Residents with special dietary needs receive attractive, appropriate and varied meals.

* Menu planning

* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment

* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

* Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

* Follow recipes and presentation specifications

* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

* Restock items as needed throughout the shift

* Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards

* Recording food temperatures

Sous Chef Role Requirements:

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to work as part of a team and individually

* Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents

* Experience in a similar environment.

* Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards.

* Passionate about cooking
