Company:
Off-site M&E prefabrication division of a £100m group of companies who specialise in mechanical and electrical building services engineering from initial concept and design to installation and ongoing facilities management / maintenance.
The Role:
As Operations Manager, you will report into the Divisional Director and will oversee all operational activities and have responsibility for the delivery of all projects.
Having a direct line management of two senior contract managers (M&E), you will:
* Evaluate and manage contractual risk of all new and on-going projects.
* Manage and programme the allocation of labour on projects including in-house and sub-contract labour.
* Oversee all operational projects, ensuring programmes are running to time and cost constraints.
* Price and agree contract variations.
* Deliver monthly P&L reports on all projects.
* Ensure H&S protocols are followed.
* Carry out site visits and attend site meetings.
* Value engineer projects to maximise profitability.
All projects are prefabricated and include pre-packaged plant rooms, CHP & steam boilers, boiler rooms, all associated pipework and HV/LV electrical services and electrical process engineering.
Values range from £1m to 5m and sectors include energy, healthcare, industrial and food / beverage.
The Person:
You will have a proven track record in the operational delivery of mechanical and electrical building services installations from a contractor point of view.
It is preferred that you have progressed from the tools, have a good contractual understanding and have managed full P&L on projects.
A mechanical background is preferred however we will consider applications from electrical biased candidates provided you have also managed mechanical schemes.
The Salary:
* Salary is negotiable but c£70k to £75k depending on experience
* Car allowance c£7,000 or company car / pickup
* 27 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays
* Company pension 4%/4
