Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS)
Location: Solihull & Nuneaton (with flexible working options after probation)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Description:
A Civil-Engineering contractor is actively seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) to join our growing team, supporting projects on an Anglian Water & Severn Trent framework.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with day-to-day tasks on projects, including Severn Trent and Anglian frameworks.

* Assist with the management of a live £1.5m project in Barston, including measuring and reporting under a remeasurable NEC Option B contract.

* Work across a range of sites in Solihull and surrounding areas, spending 1-2 days on-site and 3 days at the office near Nuneaton

* Support cost calculations, cost-to-complete reports, and assist with more technical, higher-value projects as they come through.

* Work autonomously and proactively, demonstrating self-discipline and the ability to take initiative without waiting for direction.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Civils-related AQS role.

* Some understanding of NEC Contracts

* Ability to work independently while also being a key support to the Senior QS.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
