About The Role
Hours: 37.5 per week, term time only
Salary: £32,433 - £40,710 Per Annum 
 
Job Responsibilities
 
To work seamlessly across department or team boundaries in a collaborative and constructive manner to implement Ambito’s strategic direction
To demonstrate a commitment to customer services excellence and deliver against the requirements of Ambito’s quality framework
To work with Ambito’s and CYP’s policies and procedures at all times
Qualified Teacher status (DfE number required)
Degree level qualification
Experience of teaching pupils with ALN.
Ability to follow and apply safeguarding procedures.
Communicate and work effectively in a trans-disciplinary team including parents/ guardians and external agencies
Ability to deliver class planning based on the school curriculum
Ability to contribute to the development of the school curriculum which meets all pupils’ and students’ needs working in partnership with Senior Staff.
Use assessment effectively to inform pupil progress and set targets

Demonstrate diplomacy, sensitivity and empathy with the issues of disability and independence
Ability to be flexible, respond positively to change and work effectively under pressure and deal with conflicting priorities
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent IT skills
Demonstrate empathy and compassion with colleagues and young people
Have outstanding commitment to Craig Y Parc and its culture and ethos
Have an excellent attendance record
To lead a Class, working collaboratively with other professionals in the class team and therapy input
To be responsible for delivering lessons based on the school’s Curriculum
To be responsible for the day to day implementation of agreed aims and programmes reflecting the ethos of the school, as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
Ensure pupil learning and progress
Maintain excellent standards of care & hygiene
Ensure health and safety
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
To provide information as requested to senior staff who are liaising with externalproviders and dual placements
To implement group and individual educational programmes and to support in the associated planning, preparation and delivery
To contribute to the development of the overall programmes of the class/group
To take responsibility for supporting the development of particular subjects in the curriculum
To be a member of a trans-disciplinary team working with a group of students meeting all their needs and ensure that all opportunities to work in effective partnership with care and therapy professionals are fully implemented
To support CYP’s innovative use of technology for communication
To ensure that high quality record-keeping, planning, preparation, implementation and assessment take place
To contribute to and attend where required pupil centred Annual Reviews, meetings etc and provide support to Senior Staff follow up any required actions
To support the provision of excellent standards of physical and emotional care, including personal care
To work as a member of a team and ensure the physical environment is maintained to high standards of safety, hygiene and presentation
To engage with receiving and sharing expertise and knowledge from/with other members of the team
To participate in the staff training and development programme

To contribute to the development of aspects of the training programme where appropriate
To develop and maintain good working relationships with parents/guardians
To provide information as requested to Senior Staff to support the setting of effective, well-monitored long and short term targets for students when they are working in conjunction with parents/guardians and other professionals.
To work in partnership with colleagues with respect to students’ statements/plans to ensure their needs are met
To ensure continuity of education when away from class by providing high quality planning to enable this planning to be implemented
Any other duties as may reasonably be directed by the Principal/ Head of Education

Knowledge, skills and competency 
 
Experience supporting pupils with ALN, complex medical needs, speech and language needs, visual impairment
